Christine M. Baker

Dr. Christine Baker is a coastal engineer that is fascinated by breaking waves and highly dynamic landscapes. She is starting as an Assistant Professor in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Stanford University in July 2024. Christine earned a bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from Oregon State University, and a masters and doctorate degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Washington. She is currently a Postdoctoral Research Scholar at North Carolina State University. Christine enjoys running and skiing in the mountains, growing carrots, peas, and other vegetables, and just about any activity that is a reason to spend more time outside.
